Project Scheduler / Cost Controller

UGL are recruiting for their next superstar for a newly created Project Scheduler / Cost Controller role

Working in UGL’s Utilities Operations and Maintenance business, you'll play a key role in coordinating the Power Project within the Victorian Electricity Supply Industry (VESI).

The Role

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules as well as ensuring alignment between the schedule, project scope and key milestonesImplement EVM techniques to track project performance and provide regular updates on project progress and performance metrics Identify potential risks develop mitigation strategies, as well as manage and document changesPrepare and deliver accurate and timely project reportsPrepare monitor project budgets, forecasts, financial plans with the project teamSupport preparation of financial reports, monthly project reviews, and auditsDrive financial accountability and performance throughout the Vic OM businessAttend project meetings to support financial planning, reporting, and risk management.Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, margin results the Contract/Project actual performance compared to the budget/forecast plans Monitor project expenditures ensure alignment with approved budgetsProvide insightful commentary recommendations for financial operational improvementsSupport internal and external audits as required


About You

You are skilled at being the glue between our Managers, Supervisors, Lineworkers Client, remaining actively involved in day-to-day tasks and long-term goalsYou are a self-starer capable of thriving in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environmentYou are an advanced critical thinker a problem solver with a positive can do attitudeYou proactively seek to continuously improve deliverables and work efficienciesYou have prior experience in a Program Coordinator or related role within Electrical Supply Industry or an engineering or construction management environmentYou are a pro with the MS Office suite of apps and have used SAPYou’re a team player who likes to have a laugh
