Project Quality Engineer
As the Project Quality Engineer with Dematic, you will be responsible and tasked with ensuring the quality of deliverables throughout the customer lifecycle, from project planning and design to implementation and closure and the following phase of Lifecycle Services and Solutions.
This role involves working closely with project teams, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and key customers of Dematic to identify potential risks, establish quality standards, and implement effective quality control measures.

This role will see you as a quality champion, driving continuous improvement and ensuring that projects meet customer requirements and company standards. The focus of your role will be to support the Engineering Services teams with the management of Quality issues with our products and solutions.
Leading Quality activities for the identification of Root Cause and implementation of continuous Improvement activities; you will facilitate the close out of issues by engaging with key stakeholders across the organisation, including Safety, Manufacturing, R&D, engineering, installation, etc.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Quality Strategy & Execution:

Develop and implement tailored quality plans aligned with company standards and project goalsDefine clear quality objectives, metrics, and acceptance criteriaIdentify and mitigate quality risks early in the project lifecycleMonitor and report on quality status across dedicated projects

Requirements & Verification

Ensure project requirements are clear, complete, and testableParticipate in requirement gathering and validation sessionsVerify that designs and implementations meet defined specifications

Process Improvement & Problem Solving

Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to enhance quality and reduce defectsConduct root cause analyses and drive corrective actionsChampion Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies

Inspection, Testing & Reporting

Plan and execute inspections, audits, and reviews throughout the project lifecycleAnalyse test results to detect trends, defects, or deviationsMaintain comprehensive quality documentation and deliver insightful reports

Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration

Ensure supplier readiness and compliance with project scope and quality standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with engineers, project managers, and suppliersCommunicate quality expectations and provide expert guidance to project teams

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharingCapture and apply lessons learned across projects and functionsEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policiesSupport internal and external audits with professionalism and precision

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Project ExecutionBachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldProven ability to write and produce technical reportsAbility to oversee internal and external quality audits.Strong knowledge of codes, standards and expertise in quality managementProven skills in quality improvement techniques and Risk ManagementPrevious experience in Intralogistics / Supply Chain / Machine EngineeringExcellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilityLeader and team player with conflict resilience, “right-first time” mentalityCapibility to maintain a positive attitude through change and collaborationData-driven and familiarity with Power BI and/or other data capturing toolsPreferred (Process / 3rd Party) Audit skillsStrong capabilities in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Capable of working with Excel data to analyse trends and produce reports and presentations.Fluent in English required. Other languages beneficialAbility to travel internationally (EMEA) to project and customer sites (approx. 40% of the year).
