We are looking for a Project Purchaser (m/f/d) with a main responsibility in executing and overseeing the procure-to-pay process to ensure timely supply and equipment availability for Electrical and Power Management Systems. This includes managing procurement for project business, service, and stock, as well as negotiating project-specific conditions with suppliers.

 

The preferred location for this position is Stord, Norway. 

 

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

As Project Purchaser your work will focus on ensure correct and on time availability of materials and/or services for your own area of responsibility by:

 

Checking and processing purchase requisitions or bill of materials Process purchase orders as well as related correspondence and communication Implementing project-specific purchasing conditions with the support of Legal based on the commercial terms of the customer order Add purchase order confirmations to SAP and follow up missing confirmations from suppliers Monitor deliveries proactively to avoid delays including supplier notifications and reminders Communications with suppliers, requesting departments accounting and warehouse entry Invoice handling on own PO's Handle supplier information in NC cases

 

 

Your role will also encompass the following tasks:

 

Support or run supplier negotiations on project-related prices and terms & conditions. Level or limits to be aligned and agreed with responsible Strategic Purchaser Creating and updating needed information in SAP and document management system needed to perform purchasing after project related negotiations is performed Gathering supplier data such as spot savings and other agreed KPI related figures and providing data to relevant functions Support end of life actions on supplier side of products and systems Support Project Sales with gathering purchasing price of products, systems and/or services when needed. Level or limits to be aligned and agreed with responsible Strategic Purchaser Support and work close together with Strategic Purchasers. Perform Strategic Purchasing work when needed.

 

 

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:

 

M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering and/or Business or another relevant field Solid understanding of purchasing and supply chain management. At least three (3) years of experience in procure-to-pay, preferably in the technology field. Negotiation skills coupled with a strong focus on problem-solving. Solution-oriented approach, capability to implement, and persistence to follow-up activities to ensure sustainability. Good communication skills. Fluent command in English, both oral and written, other languages could be seen as an advantage. Experience with the relevant SAP modules.
