Position Overview:  


We are seeking a Project Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy during the proposal phase, with a focus on cost optimization and supply chain risk mitigation. This role is key to developing competitive, risk-aware proposals through early supplier engagement and data-driven planning.


What your day-to-day will look like:


Lead procurement efforts during the proposal phase, including early engagement with engineering and proposal teams to develop accurate, competitive Costed Bills of Material.Drive material cost optimization using historical data, market trends, and parametric analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the supply chain strategy for proposals, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and project goals.Conduct risk assessments and identify supply chain risks during the proposal stage to develop mitigation strategies and contingency planning.Simulate cost scenarios and critical issues using market intelligence and purchasing data to support bid decisions.Coordinate with commodity managers and suppliers to obtain preliminary quotes, support Design-to-Cost workshops, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Develop and present procurement plans and supply chain strategies as part of proposal submissions and internal reviews.Ensure proposal documentation reflects accurate procurement assumptions, timelines, and cost structures.


To thrive in this role, you have:


Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, or related field preferred.5+ years of experience in project procurement, with a strong background in proposal or pre-award activities preferably in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated ability to analyze and report costs versus budgets in a project or proposal environment.Proficient in Excel and other digital tools for cost modeling and analysis.Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience interfacing with senior leadership.SAP experience is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $119,900.00 - $140,900.00 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
