Position Summary

System One is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial solar projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management, electrical systems, and renewable energy, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of solar project development, from planning through final delivery.

Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and cost forecasts.

Oversee construction site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.

Implement system design strategies that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Coordinate schedules and resources with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to internal project teams.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Relevant certifications such as NABCEP are a plus.

Experience & Skills:

5+ years of proven experience managing commercial solar or electrical projects.

Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and utility interconnection processes.

Experience working with electrical systems up to 2 MW.

Familiarity with permitting requirements and electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).

Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
