Project Manager (Software Development)

UST is looking for a detailed-oriented Technical Project Manager to lead the day to day operations of software development projects. This role requires proactive individual who can ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage software development projects Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and clients Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using standard project management tools Identify risks and issues, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure timely escalation when required Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project specifications Address any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders. Prepare and present project reports to key stakeholders Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospective) Track team velocity and continuously improve development processes Maintain and update all project documents Lead, coach, and hold team members accountable through real-time feedback Participate in recruiting by interviewing and assessing candidates for skill, mindset, and reliability Drive process innovations, such as streamlining workflows, eliminating bottlenecks, and enhancing collaboration Ensure team's adherence to company policies and issue corrective-action protocols when necessaryRequirements
3+ years of experience in managing software project management (e.g. Java) Strong understanding/experience of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve team impediments. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and different team contexts. Demonstrated ability to generate and implement outside-the-box process improvements Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence or similar Relevant certifications (e.g. PMP) is preferred Experience in large-scale projects is a plus Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) is a plus Must be amenable to hybrid and midshift
