The Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) is looking for a Project Manager. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer to deliver effective management plans for very senior leaders. The PM serves as Primary POC and would be responsible for providing management and oversight for the BUMED PMSO contract, managing 8 geographically dispersed project managers, and provided project management support for Navy Medicine Enterprise. This person will interact with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), BUMED Leadership, and Navy Medical Enterprise Senior Leadership, Responsible for program financials, employee review, customer relationships, quality management, staffing and team building. The PM is responsible for identifying opportunities to provide additional services.
In this role, you will:
Manage 8 geographically dispersed Project managers.Supports the daily operations of the organization by collaborating with the customers to ensure they have the necessary resources for assigned projects.Effectively communicate with management regarding Human Resource actions, employee training, funding for travel requests and, payroll processing.Provide administrative support to include, but not limited to the production of briefing slides, metric charts, POAMs and, WBS.Provide Project management for the BUMED Portfolio Management Support Office (PMsO) across all life cycle phases of multiple projects. Projects support Fleet and Marine Corps related efforts in various organizations in the Navy Medicine enterprise, to include work associated with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process.Application of PMBOK Project Management practices across all life cycle phases of projects to include performance reporting and adoption of Knowledge Proliferation and Methodology. Candidates can be expected to support the management of 3-5 projects simultaneously with each project lasting 3-18 months. Assists in developing management plans, procedures, and methodology. Providing accounting operations support, invoice and timesheet management.Oversee the deployment of all program criterion.Develop reports, quality checks, and continuous improvement. Active DoD Secret ClearanceA Bachelor’s DegreeProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification3 years of experience in managing projects (post PMP cert)Working knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps operational environmentsThe ability travel up to 10%Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring & controlling, and project closureEligible for Common Access Card (CAC) supported by background investigationAdditional desired experience and skills:
