What You Will Achieve: Reporting to the Sr. Director, Portfolio Management, this position is responsible for the successful planning, management, execution and leadership of medical device or pharmaceutical projects. The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross functional teams to support the greater goal of the program and overall organization which may include both internal and external resources with projects of various levels of complexity. As the Project Manager you will manage resources, schedules, financials and shepherd teams through the full stage and gate development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving the project management execution through the PMO for the corporation. Be a mentor/coach for another Project Managers. This position requires experience in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or Biomedical development. This role will ensure the deliverables of the project/program are achieved on or ahead of schedule and within scope and budget. How You Will Achieve It : Responsible for the sub-team projects and life cycle; project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out. Deliver projects on-time, within scope and within budget. Lead planning activities to develop robust project plans which depict the strategy endorsed by the project team. When appropriate, create scenario plans to document potential risks and trade-offs to be considered by the team. Execute project risk management activities including risk identification, ranking and contingency planning. Manage all daily project activities, including schedule development, intra-division liaison, project communication, status reporting, and resource and budget requests. Identifies and tracks critical path/activities, risks, contingencies, and alternatives and offer suggestions to get projects back on track when necessary. Facilitate effective project meetings, through planned agendas cross-functional coordination. Manage project change and conflict resolution. Establish project milestones, goals, KPIs and monitor adherence to master plans and baselines. Provide project updates to team and management on work performed, plans, budget, and status. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the precise execution of projects. Collaborate with cross-functional managers to define project budget, incremental funding requests and key activity expenses. Develop resource planning estimates to make decisions on project workload and priorities. Ensure resource availability and allocation is appropriate. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing meeting agendas, recording meeting minutes, tracking action items, coordinating global and sub-team activities, and disseminating project information.
