You Are:
The Data Governance Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for receiving, evaluating, prioritizing, and managing new initiatives and requests related to data governance within the organization. This role is critical to ensuring that data projects align with business strategies and are executed efficiently and effectively.
The opportunity:
· Request Intake and Evaluation: Receive and review new data-related initiatives and requests, ensuring that requirements and objectives are fully understood.
· Project Prioritization: Evaluate and prioritize initiatives based on criteria such as business impact, urgency, available resources, and alignment with the company's data strategies.
· Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of data projects, ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
· Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate communication between different stakeholders, including technical, business, and management teams, to ensure that all interested parties are aligned and engaged.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in data management processes and propose solutions to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes within the data governance office.
· Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for senior management on the status, risks, and results of data projects.
· Metric Development and Maintenance: Responsible for reviewing, managing, and reporting on the Data Governance team's key KPIs.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
· Education: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in data management or information technology.
· Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum), as well as technologies and concepts related to data management (e.g., databases, data warehousing, Big Data).
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and understand complex data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions.
· Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
· Language: Upper-intermediate proficiency in English.
· Desirable Skills
· Knowledge of Process Mapping and Documentation: Experience in process mapping and procedural documentation.
· Green Belt Certification: Green Belt certification in process improvement methodologies is desirable.
· Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), Scrum Master, or similar certifications.
· Data Governance Experience: Previous experience in roles related to data governance, data quality, or master data management is desirable.
