Role Purpose\:
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of mining and minerals projects within Client’s portfolio. This includes greenfield and brownfield developments across upstream mining, beneficiation, refining, and downstream processing plants. The role requires close coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, strict adherence to project governance, and alignment with Saudi Arabia’s sustainability, localization, and Vision 2030 objectives.
Key Responsibilities\:
• Project Delivery\: Lead the full project lifecycle (concept, feasibility, PFS, BFS, EPC/EPCM, and commissioning), ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of mining and minerals projects.
• Stakeholder Engagement\: Act as the primary interface with Client project management, JV partners, government entities, and contractors. Ensure project objectives reflect stakeholder requirements and strategic business goals.
• Governance & Compliance\: Ensure compliance with Client project delivery framework, Saudi regulatory standards, and international mining best practices (safety, environmental, and ESG).
• Commercial & Contracts\: Manage contracts, procurement strategies, and negotiations of engineering contracts. Drive cost efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Leadership & Team Development\: Lead multi-disciplinary project teams (engineering, HSE, construction and commercial), fostering collaboration and knowledge transfer to Saudi talent.
• Risk & Performance Management\: Develop project execution strategies, risk registers, and mitigation plans. Track KPIs (cost, schedule, safety, quality) and implement corrective actions.
• Digital & Innovation\: Promote the adoption of digital project delivery tools (BIM, digital twins, 3D laser scanning, advanced project controls) to improve productivity and project assurance.

*Qualifications & Experience\:
• Education\: Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Professional Experience\: Relevant project management experience in the mining and minerals industry, preferably across phosphate, gold, copper, or aluminum projects. Proven track record in managing medium/large-scale projects in Saudi Arabia or GCC. Strong knowledge of mineral beneficiation, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, and downstream processing.
• Certifications\: PMP® or equivalent project management certification.
• Technical Skills\: Strong contract and commercial management skills. Familiarity with international codes, standards, and best practices in mining and process plants. Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and digital engineering platforms.
• Soft Skills\: Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities. Excellent communication (English essential, Arabic an advantage). Ability to mentor and develop young Saudi engineers in alignment with IKTVA and Saudization targets.
