Essential Functions
What You’ll Do
As aProject Manager III (Licensed), you'll take the lead on planning and managing a variety of construction and technical projects for the County. You'll be the go-to person p erforming professional engineering work involving the design, review, and oversight of various construction and development projects to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.

Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and guidecontractors and work crews through day-to-day construction activities.
+ Review and approveplans for infrastructure, site development, and stormwater systems.
+ Ensure compliancewith local, state, and federal codes, ordinances, and regulations.
+ Design and preparedetailed construction documents, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
+ Conduct inspectionsand field visits to ensure project integrity and quality.
+ Solve real-world problems— using your technical expertise to find smart, efficient solutions.
+ Collaborate closelywith management, public agencies, consultants, and fellow departments to ensure project success from start to finish.
+ Provide professional inputon development reviews, rezoning, permits, and conditional use applications.
+ Review and reviseexisting codes and ordinances to improve outcomes and efficiency.
+ Mentor othersby offering guidance and insight on engineering processes, design standards, and project strategies.
What We’re Looking For
+ ABachelor’s degree in Engineering required. Related fields may be accepted in non-engineering areas of concentration.
+ 5+ years of related experience
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
+ Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
+ Tech-savvy, with experience in managing technical systems or IT-integrated projects
+ AFlorida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license— or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire
Nice to Have
+ Experience with public sector or municipal construction projects
+ Knowledge of Florida permitting processes and code requirements
+ Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, or project management software tools
