SEL is looking for a highly organized individual with a passion for engaging people both nationally and internationally. In this role, you will coordinate IT support for office changes, manage project teams to foster a high-performance environment, and ensure seamless communication and coordination with a customer service-oriented team. Reporting to SEL’s IT group, this position offers diverse experiences across the organization.
As a Project Manager, a typical day might include the following:
Tracking and coordinating the IT work required to support field office growth and moves, including internal and external resources.
Working with multiple divisions/departments as necessary to ensure timely delivery of solutions to enable our customers’ work.
Managing and engaging vendors and suppliers to provide high quality services such as ISP, wiring, telecommunications and security to each location.
Maintaining detailed documentation to track project work and service agreements.
Readily and promptly identifying project performance related issues. Identifying, tracking and helping mitigate project related risks.
May create and deliver presentations on project status to management.
Identifying opportunities for improvement to project processes. Making a significant contribution in making those improvements.
Mentoring others. May lead or supervise interns.
This job might be for you if:
You have a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
You have typically 4 years of direct experience in coordinating projects
You have excellent coordination, organization, and prioritizing skills
You have demonstrated competent level knowledge of project management skills, techniques, and terminology
You have a demonstrated record of project management accomplishments
You have a basic level of business acumen related to budgets, expense planning, resource allocation, and forecasting
You are self-motivated and able to work independently
You have knowledge of Microsoft Project or other project management tracking software
You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Knowledge of electric power system protection, integration, and automation practices
Knowledge of SEL products

Pay Range Data
Project Manager I $26.70 - $34.28 per hour. Project Manager II $33.32 - $43.85 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
