Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead complex data migration and modernization programs—from legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, aligning business and technical stakeholders, and driving the timely delivery of data engineering, analytics, and BI workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end project delivery for large-scale data platform modernization and analytics transformation initiatives.

Oversee technical workstreams including Snowflake migration, DBT-based modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and BI/dashboard transitions.

Collaborate with engineering leads, architects, and business analysts to define scope, milestones, and technical roadmaps.

Maintain project artifacts: detailed project plans, RAID logs, risk registers, and client communications.

Drive project governance: sprint planning, status reporting, escalation handling, and stakeholder updates.

Participate in design and architecture reviews and support hands-on validation/testing of data deliverables as needed.

Ensure alignment across data quality, performance, security, and business expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Track dependencies across BI layers (Power BI/Tableau) and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Serve as the primary contact for client stakeholders, managing expectations, scope changes, and delivery assurance.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years in IT project/delivery management, with 5+ years focused on data platform modernization or data engineering programs.

Proven experience in Snowflake migration or similar enterprise data transformation initiatives.

Working knowledge of DBT, SQL, and modern ETL/ELT pipelines within cloud ecosystems.

Strong coordination skills across data engineers, BI developers, DevOps, and QA teams.

Hands-on familiarity with Power BI and Tableau, including dashboard migration and setup.

Experience working on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and using native services for data management.

Proficient with project tools: JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.

Track record of managing projects using Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models.

Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and client management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master

Technical certifications in Snowflake, DBT, or cloud platforms

Awareness of data governance, security compliance, and regulatory frameworks

Experience managing distributed teams in global delivery models

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field
