Experience Level: 15+ years (with a strong technical and project management background)
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead and deliver complex data migration and modernization projects involving enterprise-scale transitions from legacy systems to modern cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake. This is a hands-on project leadership role requiring the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage clients and stakeholders, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery across engineering, analytics, and BI workstreams.
The ideal candidate is someone who can bridge technical execution and business strategy while being conversant with ETL, SQL, DBT, BI tools, and cloud data architectures.
Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end project management for data migration and analytics platform modernization initiatives.
Oversee technical workstreams across Snowflake migration, DBT data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline development, and BI dashboard migrations (e.g., Power BI/Tableau).
Align project scope, deliverables, and milestones with engineering leads, solution architects, and business analysts.
Create and manage comprehensive project artifacts: project plans, RAID logs, risk registers, communication plans, and status reports.
Own governance and stakeholder management including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and executive updates.
Participate in data design sessions, architecture reviews, and testing cycles to ensure technical alignment and solution quality.
Ensure alignment of data security, quality, and performance standards across all project workstreams.
Track and manage cross-functional dependencies involving BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Act as the primary liaison for client communications, change management, and delivery assurance.
Required Skills & Experience:10+ years of IT project or delivery management experience, with 5+ years focused on data platforms or data engineering projects.
Proven experience leading Snowflake migration or similar enterprise data modernization programs.
Working knowledge of DBT, SQL, and ETL/ELT concepts in modern cloud data stacks.
Experience managing cross-functional teams of data engineers, BI developers, QA, and DevOps professionals.
Hands-on familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other enterprise BI tools, including migration and security configuration.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, especially their native data and analytics services.
Proficiency with project and collaboration tools: JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalents.
Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery models in enterprise and consulting environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of managing executive-level interactions.
