Project Manager I

Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 12 months Overview: The Project Manager I, under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, is responsible for managing multiple small-sized projects. This role ensures project plans remain accurate and updated, while monitoring scope, schedule, costs, and risks to deliver successful outcomes. Primary Responsibilities: Manage multiple small technical and/or non-technical projects. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; gather requirements and define deliverables. Coordinate team activities, clarify responsibilities, and align stakeholders. Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Support larger project initiatives under senior management direction. Scope of Responsibilities: Manages small projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with objectives and effective coordination of team members. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: Assigns and oversees tasks as a team leader. Reviews completion and quality of team deliverables. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years general management, project analysis, or project management experience, including at least 1 year in project management. OR in lieu of a degree: A combined minimum of 4 years higher education and/or work experience, including at least 2 years of general management, project analysis, or project management experience, with a minimum of 1 year in project management. Familiarity with JIRA, Agile methodologies, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Proficiency with personal computers and standard business software. Education and Experience Preferred: Experience supporting financial services or technology-focused projects. Project Management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP, or Agile-related certification). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
