(Primarily Remote)

Work hours: Full Time Days (8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need

·         Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Clinical field, Business, or related field. 4 Years Related experience in lieu of a degree. (Preferred)

·         2 Years Project management experience required to include experience in creating requirements, project plans, project schedules, and driving projects to key dates. 2 years’ experience in information technology or healthcare environment preferred (Required)

·         PMP – Project Management Professional Certification (Preferred)

 

What You Will Do

The Project Manager I (PM I) role is responsible for providing project management for the projects to which they are assigned through the production of plans, documentation of project deliverables, stakeholder communication and adherence to all PMO procedures and processes.  The prime responsibility is to ensure assigned projects produce the required deliverables within the defined quality, time and cost constraints and to facilitate realization of the benefits defined for the assigned projects and programs.

 

The PM I is an entry level project manager who provides project leadership for routine and non-complex projects which involve a small number of impacted groups.  The PM I must have a good understanding of the standard processes and tools used by the PMO.

 

        Risk and Issue Management

·         Documents, addresses and monitors project risks

·         Identifies and documents project issues

·         Appropriately manages issue escalation through the project team chain of command and the ITS chain of command with assistance from direct management when needed

Scope Management

·         Develop a work breakdown structure from scope defined through the governance process or governance request

·         Ensure project scope is adequately defined and understood by the full project team

·         Track the scope of the project throughout the project lifecycle

·         Recognize scope changes and raises awareness to management that defined scope is at risk

·          Follow the PMO process for scope change requests or scope creep

·          Create the proper project baselines to be able to track the timeline and resource impacts of any scope creep or scope changes

Quality of Project Delivery

·         Track that all project deliverables are completed on time

·         Completes project documentation at the appropriate time to provide direction for the project

·         Meet with the project stakeholder to ensure that the project is addressing the needs of the project sponsor(s) and business owner(s)

·         Create complete project plans and adheres to the project baseline process in a timely manner

·         All project documentation and deliverables are expected to be of good quality

Resource Management

·         Engage the appropriate resource managers to determine the proper team resources needed for each project

·         Document the resource hours and availability for all resources on the project team

·         Develop the ability to manage project resources in a mostly virtual environment

·         Perform all standard PMO time approval processes without issue in a timely manner

Project Communication

·         Create a communications plan for each project

·         Engage in direct communication with project team members and stakeholders to develop relationships

·         Create meaningful and useful project status reports that include appropriate details to describe the current state of the projects

Time Management

·         Work with team to define project activities

·         Properly sequence activities with time and resource estimates

·         Manage and updates schedules to clearly define when the project will be complete

·         Ensure Project Schedule Status is driven from the project schedule

Leadership, Innovation, Education

·         Work with the project teams to understand and communicate how project connects to other projects and initiatives that are in progress or are planned

·         Assist subject matter experts to resolve project challenges

·         Participates in process improvement activities for the betterment of the PMO and THR

·         Seek to improve professional and industry knowledge and develops skills to enhance the ability to provide leadership to projects and to THR

Organizational Change Management

·         Possess a general understanding of the ADKAR Change Management process

·         Understand the difference between organization change management and technical change management

Agile Project Delivery

·         Possess an understanding of Agile Principles
