Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. This role involves developing accurate cost estimates for concrete and masonry projects while overseeing project planning and coordination from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities and have a keen understanding of industry standards.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare Estimates: Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for concrete and masonry projects, including material, labor, equipment, and overhead.Review Project Plans: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to determine the scope of work and calculate material and labor needs.Bid Submissions: Submit detailed and timely bids for projects while maintaining competitive pricing.Vendor & Supplier Relations: Establish relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and labor.Cost Analysis: Continuously evaluate project costs against estimates and adjust for any changes or unforeseen challenges.Project Planning & Coordination: Oversee the planning and scheduling of concrete and masonry projects from inception to completion, ensuring all phases meet deadlines and budget requirements.Team Management: Supervise, direct, and coordinate project teams, including subcontractors, laborers, and field supervisors.Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and providing progress updates.Quality Control: Ensure work meets company standards, building codes, and client specifications.Budget & Schedule Management: Track project expenses and timelines, ensuring projects remain within budget and deadlines are met.Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or delays in a timely and efficient manner.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating and managing concrete and masonry projects.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).Strong knowledge of concrete and masonry materials, techniques, and industry standards.Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Precontractor, Procore).Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong understanding of project budgets, scheduling, and cost control.OSHA 30 Certification and knowledge of construction safety.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).OSHA Certification or similar safety certifications preferred.Work Environment
This role involves a mix of office-based work and onsite visits, requiring daily in-office presence as well as time spent with clients on walkthroughs of project sites. The work environment is dynamic and offers immediate responsibility in a growing concrete contractor that specializes in concrete/masonry and excavation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
