We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager (Commercial). Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Lead and manage a discrete platform integration and rollout project supporting Army Capability Manager and external stakeholders.Provide strategic project and commercial advice to scope, plan, test, and integrate engineering designs for future capability enhancements.Coordinate procurement activities in line with Defence Procurement Manual and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.Collaborate with Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support teams to ensure documentation and requirements meet standards and timeframes.Represent the team in stakeholder engagements and contribute to planning for future capability work take-on.

What You’ll Bring

Demonstrated experience in Defence project management, particularly in the Land C4 environment.Strong understanding of procurement methodologies, contracting options, and commercial risk management.Ability to provide specialist advice across the capability lifecycle, including planning, monitoring, and controlling.Proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Experience working with Defence Prime contractors and applying ASDEFCON templates and DPPM guidance.You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
