Your Role
Join our team as a Project Manager with the Vancouver Business Unit.
We’re looking for outstanding project leaders who are organized, have a keen eye for details and have led and managed complex projects from start to finish – on time and on budget with our British Columbia business unit. You’re good at building strong, trusting client relationships and have a knack for bringing the right people together to come up with innovative ideas and solutions.
To be successful in this role you will bring a wealth of experience leading projects and be able to demonstrate a portfolio varying in scope and complexity with depth in project delivery focusing on building and facility project delivery specifically in healthcare, education or mixed-use evironments.
Responsibilities Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s goals and objectivesWork on a number of facilities and building projects, varying in size and scopeEnsure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issuesSelect and organize project teams and establish levels of authority and lines of communicationLead the control of project related documents and deliver all work in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System and proceduresChair project and site meetings, find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholdersMaintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Principal or Regional Vice PresidentRegularly report on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reportsProvide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, representing owners to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of projects of varying size and scope in sectors such as institutional, healthcare, educational or commercial mixed-useA university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)Strong knowledge of various types of construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislationEffective leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technical issuesExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsStrong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
Approximate Base Salary Range for Role: $75,000 CAD to $110,000 CAD.
Base Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
