Role description:

Arcadis is looking for a Project Manager to actively manage and support the delivery of Project Management & Controls services. This role will oversee the successful delivery of large-scale design and engineering projects, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated to meet project objectives within established deadlines. It will involve identifying and presenting any project risks or issues to senior managers to mitigate potential impacts and ensure projects are delivered in compliance with required standards.

This role will work within established financial systems to produce project plans and schedules, monitor budgets, and highlight variances to maintain control over project delivery targets. It will analyze and review data to identify trends and key themes, using this insight to produce recommendations that inform project decision-making. By reviewing project processes and policies, this role will provide advice to support management in improving and developing systems and workflows.

The role will require effective interaction across the organization, completing complex, professional-level tasks to ensure the seamless delivery of programs and projects. It will also collaborate with stakeholders and third-party sub-consultants to ensure all parties remain informed and aligned with project progress and expectations. Success in this role will be critical to delivering projects that meet client goals and exceed expectations.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will provide direct assistance to Zone Managers in managing their assigned tasks, continually enhancing and promoting productivity through improved processes, procedures, and systems. By leading by example, you will foster a culture of quality within the team and work cooperatively with the wider Arcadis organization to exchange information and assist other team members in achieving their objectives and work outcomes.

You will ensure compliance with all record-keeping requirements and communicate effectively with team members to ensure they understand and engage with the project strategy, brief, and client requirements. Actively promoting safety, you will comply with the System Requirement, Safety Responsibilities, Authorities, and Accountabilities within the Safety Management System. Additionally, you will assist in developing project change notices and actively support the change management process.

In this role, you will develop various layouts, filters, and reports using company planning tools to set up the schedule reporting procedure. You will communicate complex scheduling issues and critically interrogate information provided to ensure clarity and accuracy. Managing project resources will be crucial, ensuring optimal allocation to meet project demands. You will create and generate weekly reports for the project team, modifying them to suit the project's stage and audience as needed.

Furthermore, you will participate in and provide support for staff involved in project or integrated scheduling-related reviews, such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), subcontractor validations, and internal/external quality audits. Performing other duties and responsibilities, including ad hoc initiatives and tasks directed by your manager or Arcadis, will be part of your role. Finally, engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) will be essential to maintain and enhance your professional skills and knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Project Management Minimum of 7 years of industry experience, preferably with a Design and Engineering organization Near attainment or attainment of professional certification such as PMP Strong oral and written communication skills, including influencing abilities Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in implementing project management principles, including schedule/cost controls and earned value management Experience with scheduling tools like Primavera P6 and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) Ability to tailor information for various stakeholders and management levels Strong IT skills and time management capabilities Commercial acumen and a logical approach to coordinating complex project aspects

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $134,000.. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
