We are looking for a collaborative and motivated Project Manager to join our Motors & Gears Engineering team leading the Orbitron product development and creating the next generation of hydraulic motors within BU Orbital & Gear Solutions (BU OGS) at Danfoss. The project has already reached Milestone M3, and now we are looking for someone with a can-do-attitude who can guide it with energy, focus, and empathy all the way to serial production (M5)
In this role, you’ll bring together people from different disciplines, cultures, and time zones, creating alignment and momentum. You’ll play a central role in ensuring the project delivers on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards — while fostering an environment where every voice is heard and every perspective adds value.
This is a role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, influencing without formal authority, and finding solutions that work for both the product and the people behind it.
What You’ll Be DoingLead the Orbitron hydraulic motor development project from M3 through to serial production (M5), using our structured project management framework. Bring together a global, cross-functional team — including Engineering, Finance, Operations, Portfolio, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain — and create an inclusive environment where ideas and expertise are shared openly. Implement a significant CAPEX volume into production. Coordinate activities, monitor progress, and ensure challenges are addressed collaboratively. Build strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Facilitate clear, transparent communication and decision-making. Navigate technical and process details together with distributed engineering and manufacturing teams. Use ERP (SAP) and PLM (Teamcenter) tools to manage data and ensure project traceability. What We're Looking For
Education: BSc. or MSc. in a STEM field (Engineering, Technology, or similar) or equivalent relevant experience from complex, technical projects.
3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing company, ideally in engineering or product development.
Proven track record with structured project management processes (e.g., phase gate, Scrum, or waterfall).
Familiarity with budget and CAPEX requests in project management.
Experience facilitating and coordinating work in diverse, cross-functional teams.
Ability to work with technical design and process details in a global setup.
Experience with ERP (SAP) and PLM (Teamcenter) is an advantage.
Excellent English communication skills; Danish is a plus
Additional criteri
Based in Nordborg or Flensburg, with 2–3 days/week on site in Nordborg.
A collaborative, adaptable project expert who enjoys working across cultures and disciplines.
Someone who can balance ambition with empathy — driving progress while valuing team input.
A communicator who can explain complex topics in a clear, engaging way.
A natural networker who sees diversity as a strength and inclusion as part of success
