Job SummaryMirror Controls international (MCi), a Flex company, is the global market leader in mechatronics solutions for automotive rear-view side mirrors. With over 80 million annual units produced on 3 continents. In addition MCi is expanding its product portfolio to other Automotive actuation solutions such as Active Aerodynamics & Motor cooling management.
We are currently looking for a Project Manager, based in Woerden, NL. As part of a team, your main responsibility is managing complex projects in order to meet a flawless launch as well as tracking performance indicators (cost, delivery, quality, etc) in operation.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Manage complex engineering projects in the automotive industry, leading a cross-functional team including sales, marketing, engineering, quality, supply chain, NPI, manufacturing, and service/support.Manage both new platform development initiatives as well as adaptive and enhancement projects for already deployed solutions.Coordinate project activities and team members across global sites, and resolve issues as necessary according to the program schedule.Mitigate and resolve potential conflicts and escalations due to topics such as timelines, deadlines, budgets, change requests or similar.Function as a leader, facilitate communication and enable your team members to deliver optimal resultsAct as a central point of contact and advisor for both internal stakeholders such as Product or Project Engineers and for our customers.Help resolve complex engineering, manufacturing and delivery challenges through your experience and by utilizing the experience of your teams.Take part and support in senior stakeholder interactions and negotiations.Be on-site during NPI builds to understand design, process, & material challenges, with appropriate team membersLead projects in accordance with PRO Launch processes. Lead management gate reviews. Ensure accurate risk analysis & highlight with proper data or information.Establish project organization and secure resources for the projects by working with appropriate functional managers and/or external sources. Set up clear expectations with all resource owners.Support RFQ response preparation and creation of Scope Of Work (SOW), in collaboration with the GAM and the customer.Track & manage project expenses across all functional areas.Work hand in hand with factory teams for flawless program transfer from DVT to PVT & stable production (SP) stageHere is some of what we are looking for:
A background in engineering (ideally a finished degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar)Demonstrated experience managing complex engineering projects.Experience working on projects in the automotive industry and dealing with automotive standards and regulations is expected in this role.Experience interacting with and presenting to customers and senior internal and external stakeholdersProfessional level English is a requirement in this role.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Willingness to travel for business up to ~5-10% mainly EMEA, but also internationally (factory and customer site visits).Here Are a Few Of Our Preferred Experiences:
Certifications such as PRINCE, Scrum, Six Sigma Green Belt are an advantage, but not required.Previous experience using Stage-Gate model would be an advantage.Experience leading teams in a matrix-style organization is a strong advantage.Professional level Dutch and additional languages such as German or Chinese would be a strong advantage in this role.If you don’t have automotive experience, other industries such as EMS or Medical could supplement your strong project management background.Here are a few examples of what you’ll get for the great work you provide:
