Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager who will serve as the primary interface with customers, ensuring a customer-focused approach throughout the discovery and evaluation of requirements. This role involves managing the execution of opportunities and maintaining strong inter-group relationships during the pre-sales life cycle. The successful candidate will deliver proposal packages, including Statements of Work, project plans, detailed schedules, resource planning, risk assessments, and cost and profit analysis. The role requires strong communication skills for conducting technical and business presentations, ensuring that deliverables meet world-class standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary customer interface, focusing on customer interaction during discovery and evaluation of requirements.Manage execution on opportunities and maintain inter-group relationships throughout the pre-sales life cycle.Deliver proposal packages, including Statements of Work, project plans, detailed schedules, resource planning, risk assessments, and cost and profit analysis.Conduct technical and business presentations to customers using strong written and verbal communication skills.Ensure deliverables meet world-class standards.Project confidence and strong technical ability to customers, with a track record of successful closure on opportunities.Embed a culture of continuous improvement and process optimization.Measure, analyze, and take action to continuously improve customer satisfaction, including effective escalation management.In due course, manage Software Engineers and other team members.Essential SkillsStrong project management experience within safety or mission-critical applications (Aerospace, Military, etc.).Experience with DO-178.Background in embedded software, customer relationship management, proposals, project planning, and management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.Additional coursework in business management or a Project Management Institute certificate is a plus.6+ years of engineering experience or management expertise with embedded systems (software and/or hardware).Hands-on experience with Project Management and one or more software safety certification standards such as DO-178C, FACE, IEC61508, IEC62504, ISO26262, etc.Work Environment

The position offers the flexibility of remote work. If located in Ottawa, there is an option for a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days on-site.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $120.00/hr.
