Job Description
The Lead Project Manager will report to the R&D Program Manager and is responsible for leading program convergence activities within the Protection, Automation & Control product line. This role encompasses end-to-end responsibilities including project planning, resource loading, budget management, and cross-functional execution.
ResponsibilitiesServe as a 'delivery engineer' to manage the release of a hybrid software package delivered every two weeks.Attend daily meetings to track progress, identify issues, and escalate as necessary.Proactively manage the operational aspects of the role, rather than focusing on specific programming languages or technologies.Demonstrate strong crisis management experience and lead global, multi-site, and multi-team projects of over 100 people.Possess excellent communication and accountability skills to drive the team to deliver on time.Interact with scrum masters, architects, and product owners as part of a larger 100-person team across 11-12 teams.Essential Skills5+ years of project management experience.Crisis management experience.Technology project experience.Experience leading global, multi-site, and multi-team projects of over 100 people.Experience working in a large enterprise or matrix organization.Technical risk tracking experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsEmbedded Software experience.Exposure to technical risk tracking and velocity reporting.Strong organizational skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.Excellent multitasking ability – Comfortable juggling logistics, data tracking, and coordination.Clear written and verbal communication – Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Attention to detail – Especially important for data accuracy, purchase orders, and shipment tracking.Proactive follow-up – Ensures actions from meetings and tasks are completed on time.Work Environment
The role is based in Markham, requiring 40 hours per week. The Lead Project Manager will be part of a square team consisting of about 100 people, interacting closely with scrum masters, architects, and product owners.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $58.00/hr.
