About the OpportunityAs a Project Manager within the MSAT Global Project Management Organization, you are responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of key projects within our organization. You work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient project execution and planning, resource allocation, costs monitoring and risk management.
Your job, as a Project Manager within the MSAT Global Project Management Organization, is to independently coordinate end to end project activities and link with M&S and R&D stakeholders to ensure an on-time delivery and a successful launch of our new products. You drive the project team to success and to right first-time achievements.
The multiple national award-winning Sanofi Waterford biopharmaceutical and medical device campus is located in Waterford on Ireland’s southeast coast. Established in 2001 and now with more than 900 employees, the site has seen more than €600m invested in state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology. Diversification continues to bring new products to Waterford and the expanded site portfolio continues to create new opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
The Project Manager is a member of MSAT Global Project Management.
Your key responsibilities are to:
Define and Plan Projects: Clearly outline project scope, objectives, WBS and deliverables. Develop high-level and detailed project plans.
Coordinate Project Teams: Define a project OBS with clear roles and responsibilities. Foster a collaborative environment to break down silos and accelerate delivery.
Optimize Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation and manage project resources efficiently.
Lead Risk Management: Lead the project risk management process by guiding the team in identifying, assessing, and developing mitigation strategies for potential risks. Proactively manage and monitor critical risks, ensuring timely alerts and interventions when necessary.
Monitor and Control Projects: Monitor project progress against plans, adjust as necessary, and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards and Shine data entry requirements.
Ensure Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including team members. Prepare and present project documentation, reports, and data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
Be Continuous Improvement and Innovation oriented: Support the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools. Encourage innovative solutions and creative approaches to overcome project challenges and standardize project management practices within MSAT.
Monitor Performance: Prepare and co-lead project performance reviews, gap analysis and Go/No Go committees.
Document Project: Keep detailed records of project activities, decisions, and changes. Conduct and document project lessons learned sharing sessions.
Promote Agility and Adaptability: Champion a culture of agility and adaptability, enabling teams to navigate complex challenges with confidence and creativity.
Leads large, cross functional, potentially multi-site / international projects for the Global MSAT product pipeline.
Leads cross-functional, multi-site teams, in technology transfer, new product introduction, 2nd Gen, and business integration of new products.
Translates customer needs into defined, approved project scope statements; works with stakeholders to quantify resource requirements.
Establishes detailed project plans, drives execution of project tasks in line with agreed scope and timelines.
Follows and drives the requirements of MSAT Global Project Management governance including project charter initiation, gate reviews, and governance meetings.
Establishes and executes the communication plan for the project and facilitates information flow between all stakeholders and sites.
Monitors project progress and identifies project risks; minimizes impact to the program or wider site.
Escalates risks as appropriate to MSAT leadership teams.
Acts as project representative to external stakeholders.
Drives the preparation and adherence to Project budget and forecast submission.
About YouTo excel in this role, you will need to have:
Bachelors, or Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
PMP Certification beneficial.
3-5 years of proven and significant experience in project management or equivalent.
Record of accomplishment of successfully implementing operational strategies that drive tangible results.
Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Planisware).
Proven record of accomplishment in the ability to transfer goals and objectives into measurable plans.
Ability to identify gaps/risks and put appropriate remediation plans in place.
Strong analysis and reporting. Ability to lead/facilitate problem solving.
Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
