Our client in the automotive industry, is looking to hire a Project Manager for their facility in Windsor, ON.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all closures commodities (Door In White, Hood, Fender, Static and Dynamic Sealing, Liftgates) for vehicle programs, from start to finish.Early in a program, this will involve working with Product Planning and the Product Design Office to help guide the design of the vehicle toward feasible technical solutions.Responsible for tracking on-time sourcing (supplier selection) and design release of component designs for tooling. Manage all component and system testing plans and timelines to ensure Closures components are on time, and will develop recovery mitigation plans as necessary. Significant supplier and assembly plant launch support throughout pilot and launch phases will follow. Once a program is launched, will actively manage any warranty or quality issues the customer experiences with exterior trim.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in automotive design/development (preferably at the OEM level)Experience with automotive Body in White (BIW), closures, or exterior systems.Experienced overseeing programs from development into productionTechnical degree with relevant experience.Strong knowledge in materials coatings (galvanized, e-coat, multiple coatings for BIW Components).Strong root cause analysis skills for field related issues specific for water and CFM testing along with air loss testing.2 years of design and development engineering experience in BIW, closures, or exterior systems.2 years of experience in Unigraphics NX and Team Center.2 years launch experience or experience in a production environment.Knowledgeable in the Change Management Process.Demonstrated capability in mitigating corrosion issues on body components.Strong knowledge of lab procedures and product testing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46.00 - $46.00/hr.
