PROJECT MANAGER
BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF PUERTO RICO JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE:  Project Manager – Construction Projects PERFORMANCE PROFILE SOURCE: Manager UNIT:  Administration DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Director of Operations STATUS:   ☐ Full time - Hourly  ☑ Full time - Salary  ☐ Part Time - Hourly CLASSIFICATION (FLSA):  ☑ Exempt  ☐ Non-Exempt GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and overseeing construction projects and facility improvement initiatives for Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico. The Project Manager will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. The role includes close collaboration with contractors, vendors, the internal operations team, and other key departments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop and lead work plans for construction, major maintenance, and facility improvement projects. 2. Oversee all project phases including design, permitting, procurement, construction, compliance, and project closeout. 3. Establish project timelines, budgets, and ensure effective use of resources. 4. Coordinate and follow up with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. 5. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal construction regulations. 6. Monitor work quality and enforce safety standards on job sites. 7. Prepare periodic project status reports for the Director of Operations and executive leadership. 8. Ensure proper project documentation and maintain organized records in company systems. 9. Support updates to the organization's facility maintenance and preservation plans. 10. Identify potential project risks and propose appropriate mitigation strategies. 11. Maintain constant communication with the Director of Operations to align projects with organizational priorities. 12. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management. - Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is preferred. - Practical knowledge of bidding processes, contracting, and construction supervision. - Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Procore, or similar). - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications. - Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills. - Proven ability to build effective relationships with contractors, vendors, and internal teams. - Basic proficiency in English (verbal and written). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: - Ability to conduct on-site inspections, walk on construction areas, and handle basic safety equipment. - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. - Willingness to travel to different club locations as needed.
