Here’s the scoop - Summary

The Project Manager plays a critical role in driving the successful execution of cross-functional product launch projects at Champion Petfoods.

This role is responsible for turning strategic concepts into operational plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

By coordinating stakeholders, managing risk, and maintaining clear communication, the Project Manager supports Champion’s continued growth and innovation in the premium pet food category.

The Project Manager will be working out of our Landmark Corporate Office in Edmonton, AB, Canada or Louisville, CO, USA.

What a typical day looks like:

Project Planning

Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholdersDevelop comprehensive project plans including timelines, resources, and budgetsIdentify and sequence activities, dependencies, and milestonesSecure stakeholder alignment and approval on project plans and schedules

Project Execution

Lead cross-functional teams to execute project plans effectivelyMonitor day-to-day progress and adapt plans to ensure successful deliveryFacilitate clear and timely communication among team members and stakeholdersEnsure documentation and project records are accurate and up to date

Risk, Budget, and Quality Management

Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and mitigation plansTrack project budgets and report on variances, ensuring cost-effective executionMaintain high standards of quality across all deliverables and project phases

Stakeholder Communication

Establish and maintain a communication schedule to update stakeholdersPresent project updates, risks, and decisions to leadership and other stakeholdersFoster positive relationships with internal teams and external partners

Project Closure & Evaluation

Conduct formal project closeout including lessons learned and performance evaluationEnsure deliverables meet business expectations and quality standardsContribute to continuous improvement of project management processes within the PMO

What are we looking for?

College degreeA minimum of five years’ experience on PMO.Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent) is an asset but not requiredTravel to off-site locations may be required.
