About this Role

Project Managers are responsible for managing assigned construction projects. Project Managers serve as the primary contact with owners/clients and must continually foster a positive relationship with all parties involved. Project Managers generate and monitor cost estimates, prime contracts, schedules, subcontracts, and owner as well as subcontractor change orders, RFI’s, and process submittals.

What You'll Do Work alongside Division Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to plan, organize, and direct activities in conjunction with road and site construction project plansCoordinate total cost estimates for a particular bid/project as assignedCheck bid source files to ensure the latest information is available prior to bid dayReviews proposal specifications and drawings and attends pre-bid meetingsGenerates RFI’s necessary to establish a competitive baselinePerforms material take-offs and mathematical calculations accuratelyDetermines type of materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractors requiredMonitor and control projects through administrative direction of on-site foremen to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budgetRepresent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetingsWork with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts, protecting the company’s interest and simultaneously maintaining a good relationship with the customerInterpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clientsUpholds all company safety practices and wears appropriate PPE when working in the fieldFormulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and schedulingOther related duties and projects as assigned What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or another related majorExperience working on PG&E projects is highly desired5+ Years of utility construction project managementAbility to estimate projects and develop cost proposalsStrong time management and prioritizing abilitiesStrong written & verbal communications skillsAbility to read and understand drawings and specificationsStrong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Project & ExcelAbility to demonstrate team building, leadership, and mentoring skillsTravel requirements to job sitesMust be able to maintain a valid driver's license if travelling What You'll Get

Supervisory Responsibilities

Assist in the selection and hiring of related staff.  Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions.Supervise a small number of Project Engineers and Project Coordinators

 

Physical Requirements

Work is performed at project sites and in an office and/or trailerSedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

 

Pay- $    122K- $ 176K       /Annually *Depending on Experience
