Project Manager

We have an outstanding Contract position for aProject Manager to join a leading Company located in theReston, VAsurrounding area.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday Payroll.
+ The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the project on time, within budget and in alignment with business objectives.
+ The PM will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
+ Lead and manage all phases of the payroll implementation project, from initiation to closure.
+ Coordinate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into project objectives.
+ Oversee system testing, data migration, user acceptance testing and training activities.
+ Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve system implementation problems and overall system performanc e.
+ Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
+ Ensure successful system integration with timekeeping and benefits systems and vendors.
+ Write and prepare system user documentation, instructional guides, reference materials and system plans and manuals.
+ Develop post-implementation support plans and conduct project closeout activities, including lessons learne d.
Basic Hiring Criteria
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
+ PMP certification.
+ Minimum of 5 years of technical project management experience and strong commitment to meeting deadlines in a dynamic team environment.
+ Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
+ Change management experience.
+ Experience of planning and executing a business system implementation, preferably with Workday.
