Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent or Project Manager to lead large-scale pile driving operations for marine construction projects, particularly massive waterfront developments. This hybrid role involves approximately 50% fieldwork and 50% office-based responsibilities, including planning, scheduling, and contract management.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities.Lead and manage foremen, acting as a liaison between field engineering, estimating, and craft teams.Oversee scheduling and coordination of materials, subcontractors, personnel, and equipment.Ensure safe, high-quality project execution in compliance with drawings and specifications.Champion a culture of safety and enforce hazard recognition and control.Maintain a consistent leadership presence on-site during all construction hours.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and crews to develop detailed operational plans.Track and manage project costs in coordination with the project management team.Supervise equipment operation and maintenance, ensuring safety compliance.Manage subcontractor performance to meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals.Establish and enforce quality control standards.Maintain accurate field notes and produce daily reports.Track and evaluate Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and other site-specific safety documentation.Promote and maintain an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment.Maintain a high standard of ethical behavior and support ethical decision-making.Additional duties may be assigned as needed.Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.Essential Skills7–15+ years of experience in marine construction, with a strong focus on pile driving.Proven leadership in managing large-scale waterfront projects.Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.Strong organizational, communication, and contract management skills.Demonstrated commitment to safety and ethical conduct.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with overseeing and managing pile driving operations.Knowledge of managing contracts, generating RFI's and Submittals.Experience in commercial construction, project engineering, and construction documentation.Work Environment
The role requires a balance between fieldwork and office-based tasks, approximately 50% each. The fieldwork involves overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring safety compliance and quality control. The office-based responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and contract management using technologies such as Primavera P6 scheduling software. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $180000.00/hr.
