Project Manager / Contracts Manager – Tiverton, Devon
Location: Tiverton (with projects across Devon)
Salary: £55,000 – 60,000 DOE + Package
Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Contracts Manager to join a growing, family-owned main contractor. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project delivery and a track record of managing both commercial and private residential construction schemes. This is a pivotal role supporting ongoing growth and increased project workload across the region.

You will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of schemes including up to £4m commercial projects throughout Devon inclusive of refurbishments, fit out, renovations, building services. The role involves regular site visits, managing the lifecycle of projects, reporting to an Area Manager and working closely with a dedicated Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities:
Oversee project delivery from pre-construction to completionManage multiple schemes concurrently (values typically £250k to £4m)Lead on-site teams (Site Managers, Supervisors, or Working Foremen)Maintain programme schedules using project delivery softwareEnsure compliance with CDM and H&S regulationsAttend and lead project meetings, preparing construction phase plans and progress reportsSupport commercial team with procurement and subcontractor coordinationUse Microsoft Project and Microsoft 365 Apps to manage and report on projectsTravel between sites across DevonRequirements:
