Johnson Service Group is looking for a Project Manager for a great client of ours in Sarasota, FL. 6 month contract to hire on site 5 days a week in Downtown Sarasota. Pay rate of $35/hr and conversion salary in the $70,000 range. Looking for 1 year experience as an IT PM.
JOB SUMMARY This Project Manager position, provides support and coordination for organizational projects, which includes oversight of developing Project Definitions, Scope, Cost Estimates, and requested Resources, as well as Contract Review, Process Development, Analysis of Constraints, Risk Assessment, Change Management and Progress Reports on assigned projects. Additional duties may be assigned as they relate to the mission and achieving the established goals of the Clerk and Comptroller's organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Communicates ideas, recommendations, and technical information clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing in compliance with governing authorities. Analyzes problems, formulate recommendations and identify alternative solutions in support of goals. Works weekends and holidays when necessary to meet the demands and needs of the organization and customers. Reports to work within a specified period of time as established in the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) following a declaration of emergency. Creates a welcoming environment for newly hired employees and promotes the same from staff. Prepares, analyzes and interprets complex information and to make recommendations on correspondence or response on such data. Leads and manages projects for assigned applications. Reports to work onsite, in accordance with approved hybrid work schedule. Reads cursive to ensure accuracy of paper and electronic record. Oversees scope definition, process development, testing, status reporting, and successful completion of projects which includes meeting deadlines. Establishes cooperative relationships with project team members. Facilitates exchange of views and perspectives of the internal customers and vendors. Ensures project compliance with applicable procedures, policies and statutes. Estimates resource needs for completion of projects. Defines project charter to include the roles and responsibilities of project team. Ensures project/business goals are clear. Assists in planning and executing assigned projects. Researches and analyzes problems; coordinates the formulation and implementation of effective Tracks, monitors and reports project status using the Project Management System. Responds to and resolves requests for assistance with projects, processes, procedures, and systems. Submits recommendations for improvements to policies, systems, processes and guidelines. Documents the status of the design, development efforts, and progress in achieving the requirements of the project. Participates in the RFP process and selection of a product Vendor. Closes project formally in the Project Management System by preparing close out reports and conducting meetings with team members to continuously improve the project management process. Conducts close out meetings which includes capturing lessons learned and preparation of final project close out report. Possesses a general familiarity with the workflow and functions of customers to support provided services. QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Public Administration, and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. 1 year of progressively more responsible professional experience related to job functions preferred. Knowledge of principles of personnel administration, supervision, and training. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and methods using automated systems. Knowledge of Project Management, training, accounting and purchasing processes. Knowledge of research techniques, evaluation methods, and implementation procedures to assist in the formulation of a sound project plan. Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to utilize Project Insight, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access. Knowledge of team building skills. Knowledge of project life cycles. Knowledge of standard training practices as they relate to implementation schedules. Knowledge of standard Project Management principles and practices. Knowledge of change and cost control processes. Knowledge of risk management and quality control. Knowledge of process improvement strategies.
