About the job:
Kent is looking for a Project Manager for our office in Edmonton, AB.
You will oversee execution of Projects or large Programs of Projects and act as the primary contact for clients regarding performance or non-performance of assigned projects and foster strong relationships leading to growth in project portfolios across multiple clients.
You will create and maintain an attitude of leadership towards the project team with respect to overall management activities (including quality assurance, engineering, procurement, planning and controls, construction management, pre-commissioning, industrial labour relations and safety) to achieve a quality project, while respecting the established budget and schedule objectives.
Responsibilities:
Workforce Leadership and Management
Create a context that allows Project Teams to achieve targeted results.Demonstrate the leadership required to affect positive change, integrity and 100% responsibility for project results.Escalate project staffing concerns to the Kent Leadership Team.Participate in the implementation of Kent’s strategic tactics across Canada.Facilitate manpower leveling for the workload across all offices – includes ensuring the flow of information into the MFL.Provide direct feedback and follow up on any corrective actions required to performance issues in engineering disciplines and functional group (Project Controls, Supply Chain, etc.) that hinder project performance.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas project experience.Demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline teams doing feasibility, FEED and detailed engineering, procurement, and execution phases of projects.Understand contract requirements, development, and negotiations.Communication:
Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.Behavior/ Core Competencies:
Proven Project Management skills and team leadership.Strong business and commercial acumen.HSSEQ:
