Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities. **Requisition ID:** 41346BR **Travel Required:** None **Major/Essential Functions:** + Prepare and distribute monthly FOP balance and usage reports to the Director and department to support decision-making. + Perform monthly account reconciliations and provide ad hoc financial updates and reports to the Director. + Support accounting services including rate development, fiscal year budget preparation, and salary planner. + Maintain financial records in compliance with TTU retention and destruction policies. + Manage all procurement activities for the department, including TechBuy purchases, P-Card reconciliation, and travel processing (arrangements and reimbursements). + Handle internal and external billing, including QuickBooks transactions and IV processing. + Coordinate HR and payroll activities, including job postings, recruiting, new hire processing, funding changes, and monthly payroll reconciliations. + Maintain HR and payroll records in accordance with TTU policies. + Stay current on TTU, state, and federal HR policies by attending training and forums; communicate updates to center personnel and implement changes as needed. + Provide administrative assistance to the Center Director, including meeting scheduling, deadline coordination, communication management, and other assigned tasks. + Schedule rooms and coordinate activities for the Center, such as seminars, guest visits, student events, special functions, and departmental meetings. + Serve as departmental coordinator for the annual SECC fundraising campaign. **Grant Funded?:** No **Minimum Hire Rate:** 4186.00 **Pay Basis:** Monthly **Schedule Details:** M-F;8-5 **Work Location:** Lubbock **Preferred Qualifications:** Familiar with Academic Service Centers (17A funds) **Department:** Center for BioTechnology Genomics **Required Attachments:** Cover Letter, Professional/Personal References, Resume / CV **Job Type:** Full Time **Job Group:** Business Professionals **Shift:** Day **Required Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree plus three years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal seven years. **Does this position work in a research laboratory?:** No **About the Department and/or College:** The Center for Biotechnology & Genomics at Texas Tech University promotes and facilitates faculty and student research in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and molecular genetics.
