**41346BR** **Extended Job Title:** Project Manager **Position Description:** Provides project management including adherence to budget, schedule and scope. Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities. **Requisition ID:** 41346BR **Travel Required:** None **Major/Essential Functions:** + Prepare and distribute monthly FOP balance and usage reports to the Director and department to support decision-making. + Perform monthly account reconciliations and provide ad hoc financial updates and reports to the Director. + Support accounting services including rate development, fiscal year budget preparation, and salary planner. + Maintain financial records in compliance with TTU retention and destruction policies. + Manage all procurement activities for the department, including TechBuy purchases, P-Card reconciliation, and travel processing (arrangements and reimbursements). + Handle internal and external billing, including QuickBooks transactions and IV processing. + Coordinate HR and payroll activities, including job postings, recruiting, new hire processing, funding changes, and monthly payroll reconciliations. + Maintain HR and payroll records in accordance with TTU policies. + Stay current on TTU, state, and federal HR policies by attending training and forums; communicate updates to center personnel and implement changes as needed. + Provide administrative assistance to the Center Director, including meeting scheduling, deadline coordination, communication management, and other assigned tasks. + Schedule rooms and coordinate activities for the Center, such as seminars, guest visits, student events, special functions, and departmental meetings. + Serve as departmental coordinator for the annual SECC fundraising campaign. **Grant Funded?:** No **Minimum Hire Rate:** 4186.00 **Pay Basis:** Monthly **Schedule Details:** M-F;8-5 **Work Location:** Lubbock **Preferred Qualifications:** Familiar with Academic Service Centers (17A funds) **Department:** Center for BioTechnology Genomics **Required Attachments:** Cover Letter, Professional/Personal References, Resume / CV **Job Type:** Full Time **Job Group:** Business Professionals **Shift:** Day **Required Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree plus three years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal seven years. **Does this position work in a research laboratory?:** No **About the Department and/or College:** The Center for Biotechnology & Genomics at Texas Tech University promotes and facilitates faculty and student research in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and molecular genetics.
