Job Description

The Apparel Product Innovation  at Avery Dennison is looking for a Project Manager to lead and execute the project planning, coordination, and status reporting for the commercialization of cross category solution and product innovations. In collaboration with the Portfolio Enablement & Operations team, you will implement and optimize project management processes and tools to support the commercialization process. Responsible for establishing and managing all project governance collateral, you are the leader who is responsible to oversee and escalate when needed scope, budget, schedules and tracking of key project milestones. You will confidently course correct in areas like project plans and/or resources where appropriate to meet deliverables. Responsible for coordinating communication with all areas of the business impacted by the scope, budget, schedule and resources of the work effort being managed.

You will partner with different divisions within our organization to build and execute projects that align to cross category product line strategies. Key Stakeholders will be the Commercial, Product, Solutions, and R&D teams, with whom you will collaborate and drive adherence to the commercialization process and deliverables. As a project expert you will strategically drive process and tool improvements and roll out. You are responsible for creating cross functional alignment within the stakeholder teams to drive execution against key deliverables within the commercialization process, communicating status, and escalating risk.

 

Activities may include, but are not limited to:

Project Execution: Lead multiple concurrent projects to successful completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements and internal standards while managing scope, timeline, and budget effectively. Understand and create opportunities to apply industry leading project management methodologies to planning and execution of projects.

Process Implementation: Apply portfolio governance and operational processes and methodologies and tools to streamline project workflows and improve delivery efficiency. 

Client Communication: Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular updates, progress reporting, and proactive issue resolution. 

Portfolio Management & Ops Support: Partner with teams to identify potential project expansions, gaps, and additional service opportunities within existing processes. 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent related experience and/or training is required in lieu of a degree.

At least 5 years of project management experience with  large, complex projects working cross-functionally.

Proven experience with project management tools and concepts. 

Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands

Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization, including leadership. 

Self-starter with the ability to work independently

Prior experience managing teams.

Strong working knowledge of various project management methodologies is highly desirable 

 

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $103,800 - $138,400/ year.


The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
