Role Overview:
The Project Manager - Quality Operations will be responsible for managing a team of Quality Technicians supporting Pratt & Whitney’s aftermarket and repair operations in Irving, Texas. This role will oversee daily operations, ensure adherence to quality standards, and drive continuous improvement in processes and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, team leadership, and project management within a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a team of Quality Technicians performing inspections, documentation, and quality assurance processes for Pratt & Whitney’s aftermarket operations.Ensure compliance with industry regulations, customer quality standards, and company policies.Develop, implement, and refine operational procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Monitor project performance, key metrics, and deliverables to ensure alignment with business goals.Serve as the primary point of contact for customer interactions, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members.Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address quality and operational challenges.Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma, Lean, and other quality management principles.Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and supply chain, to enhance quality outcomes.Manage staffing, resource allocation, and vendor coordination as needed to meet business objectives.Investigate and resolve escalations through root cause analysis and corrective actions

Work Experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, quality assurance, or a similar role in a regulated industry.Strong knowledge of quality management systems, GD&T, and aerospace manufacturing processes.Experience leading and managing teams in a technical environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.U.S. citizenship required due to contract regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in aerospace, turbofan engine maintenance, or manufacturing.Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Familiarity with inspection equipment such as CMM, Blue Light Scanners, and other precision measurement tools.Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, or similar product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.Background in vendor management, staffing, and resource allocation.
