Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Leadership and management – motivating and supporting the Project Team and individuals within the Project Team.
Managing stakeholders, within Thales and in particular customer and supplier relationships.
Defining Project Execution Strategies and leading the creation of Project Baselines.
Ensuring that Work Packages maintain a robust baseline at all times through the execution phase of the lifecycle and that forecasts against the baseline are accurate.
Ensuring that Change Management is successfully implemented to manage internal and contractual changes.
Ensuring that appropriate KPIs are established and controlled for Project outcomes E.g. On Time Delivery and to support confidence in forecasts E.g. Inch Milestones, Key Milestones, EVM.
Representing the Project through established governance – both lifecycle Gates and periodic Project Reviews.
Ensuring lessons from previous projects are learned and incorporated; contributing lessons for the wider benefit of the business.
About You:
We are looking for a fully established Project Manager with an extensive track record of delivering successful complex projects, ideally in the manufacturing, heavy engineering, or defence sectors.
Experience working in a complex, multidisciplinary, multi-site organisation.
Full business lifecycle management, including capture, qualification and developing capture plans and winning strategies.
Extensive client and stakeholder management.
Comprehensive understanding of generic processes and techniques used to schedule project activities (for example, WBS, OBS, milestones, dependencies, EVM).
Security Clearance statement:
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
