Implementation Project Manager – PD&E
This position will support the development, implementation and turnover phases of construction projects in the renewable and gas industries. The role will include leadership of project development, risk management, contract administration, budget, and schedule. Near term this position will lead the implementation of wind repowering projects.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Discipline is required Master's degree in Engineering or Business is highly desirableExperience
5+ years project management or similar leadership experience is required. Project management and development experience in the power and / or renewable energy industry is highly desired, specifically wind or solar development and/or implementation experience. Additional experience in utility grade construction and contract negotiations & implementation is a plus. Experience in evaluation/ due diligence, and implementation of solar, wind or gas-fired projects is desired. Experience in, and/or interacting with the following disciplines: engineering & construction, business development, project development, operations & maintenance, finance, accounting, procurement, environmental compliance, permitting, and transmission, is desired.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Possess a broad range of industry experience from: project management, project controls, power plant operations & maintenance, plant design, plant construction, finance, procurement, environmental regulations and compliance, transmission. Strong leadership, analytical, decision making, and interpersonal skills required. Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively. Strategic thinking/planning skills. EPC and Major Equipment contract analysis and negotiation skills. Excellent computer skills, i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc. Experience with Procore(PM Software), Monday.com (tracking software) is a plus Has a strong network of internal and external contacts (contractors, vendors, technical societies, etc.). Thorough understanding of basic construction concepts, project schedules concepts such as milestones, float, predecessor, successor, and risk mitigation concepts such as contingency. Project management skills are required. These skills include the ability to work across multiple organizations, lead a team toward a common objective, resolve problems and demonstrate clear, effective communication skills. Self-starter that works with a sense of urgency; works well in a team environment; maintains a positive attitude despite constantly changing priorities.MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead cross functional teams of internal and external individuals to ensure the successful implementation of Southern Power construction project(s). Manage the overall budget, scope, quality and schedule to deliver projects on-time and on-budget. Partner with on-site staff to administer EPC and supply contracts. Proactively identify potential risks and issues that could negatively impact projects. Develop creative solutions to mitigate issues. Travel to site as needed (up to 75% of the time, depending on project stage) to oversee ongoing implementation and contract administration. Leverage subject matter experts (internal and/or external) to ensure all construction tasks are completed accurately and timely (including regulatory, siting, transmission, operations, etc.). Ensure plant performance meets contract requirements, lead the closeout of punch list activities and finalize all documentation requirements to ensure a successful transition of assets to SPC Operations.
