Project Manager | GC Water Projects

THE ROLE 

Gold Coast Infrastructure Solutions (GCIS), a collaboration between Downer and Ventia, provides essential water and wastewater services for the City of Gold Coast. With a 10-year contract and a growing project pipeline, we are looking for dedicated Project Managers to join our collaborative team at our Arundel Office.

In this role, you will manage important infrastructure projects that directly benefit local communities by renewing and maintaining the water assets that keep the Gold Coast operational. Emphasising collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement, you will lead a high-performing team to deliver capital works projects on time and to industry standards.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Supervise multiple renewal and capital work projects, ensuring safe, budget-compliant, and high-quality outcomes. Lead project planning, cost estimation, subcontractor coordination, and performance reporting. Guide your team in identifying risks, fostering innovation, and addressing problems that may impact project delivery. Build strong relationships with delivery partners, design teams, and key stakeholders. Promote a culture of learning by mentoring Project Engineers and encouraging best practices.

ABOUT YOU 

You’re a capable and collaborative leader with a proven ability to manage capital works projects in multi-disciplinary environments. You combine technical skill with people leadership, commercial acumen, and a focus on safety and quality.

Project Management experience within the Water or Utilities sector is highly regarded.  Cert IV or higher Project Management qualifications.  Previous experience managing major and minor capital works projects.  Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
