The National Security Sector (NSS) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Management Manager who is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of project execution from initiation through completion. This includes developing detailed project plans, managing resources, maintaining budgets and schedules, and ensuring that deliverables meet contractual and stakeholder requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep project management expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead the end-to-end management of programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple interrelated projects or large-scale programs.Ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget constraints while maintaining high standards of quality.Interface with functional leaders, task leads, subcontractors, and support staff to coordinate resources and responsibilities.Identify risks, issues, and bottlenecks; develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Monitor and report program performance using tools such as Earned Value Management (EVM).Implement process improvements and change management strategies to optimize program outcomes.Conduct program evaluations and post-implementation reviews to measure success and identify areas for growth.Provide strategic communication planning for both internal and external stakeholders.Lead a high-performing team of professionals, with full authority over hiring, development, performance management, and rewards.Contribute to the development of new products, services, or operational strategies in support of organizational goals.Manage budgetary responsibilities including forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.What does Leidos need from me?
Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required.Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems.Minimum 10 years of experience applying administrative principles and practices.Minimum of 5 years of leadership, supervisory, or program management experience.Proven experience in IT project management, including planning, execution, and oversight.Experience working within national security, intelligence analysis, or related security-focused domains.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant business applications.Familiarity with federal IT oversight processes, including enterprise IT Portfolio Management and IT lifecycle planning.Strong organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior leadership and stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams effectively within a secure and fast-paced environment.Favorable if you have:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or equivalent certification.Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or other continuous improvement certifications.10+ years of progressive experience in program or project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.Experience managing large-scale budgets and having full P&L accountability.Strong background in Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance metrics.Demonstrated success leading change management initiatives and implementing transformational strategies.Experience in regulated or technical industries (e.g., aerospace, defense, healthcare, IT, or engineering).Proficiency with program management tools and platforms such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar.Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.ITIL v4 certification.Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Hands-on experience with Atlassian Confluence, ServiceNow, or other project management tools. Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
