At Duke Energy, our Project Management interns assist with managing a portfolio of real capital projects and will be assigned responsibility for specific tasks within the project management process as experience and skills are developed. This can include cost, schedule, communications, risk management, quality assurance of scheduling and cost management data, and metric reporting. Project Management involves planning, organizing, and executing projects from initiation to closeout. Project Managers coordinate resources, tasks, and stakeholders to successfully execute a project. A project manager must have effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
