**The Role:**
Xylem is seeking **Project Management Intern** candidates to join our team!
As a member of the team, you will collaborate directly with the Process Improvement manager and other key PMO team members to assist in identifying areas for continuous improvements and to implement improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Xylem Summer Internships typically last 10-12 weeks and are an opportunity to get hands-on, professional experience while making a lasting contribution to Xylem as an organization. Our internship program is intended to create a pipeline of talented undergraduate students who are interested in a career in the water innovation technology industry. Interns are our primary talent pool for all full-time early career positions and rotational programs. The Summer Internship is a great opportunity to learn more about Xylem and see if a career in water technology is right for you.
The hourly rate for an intern is dependent on a variety of factors including major, year in school and geographic location. The average hourly rate for an intern is between $23.00 - $28.00/hour.
**Core Responsibilities:**
As a **Project Management Intern** , you will collaborate directly with the Process Improvement manager and other key PMO team members to assist in identifying areas for continuous improvements and to implement improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities include process definition and documentation, developing improvement plans, preparing training collateral, assisting in training and collecting feedback. This role will also assist in template creation and enhancements.
You will also assist PMO project financials lead with monthly project financial management activities including analysis and auditing of budget and forecast reporting.
Additionally, you will analyze project financial data to identify variances and potential issues, prepare financial forecasts / reporting, communicate with project managers and PMO leadership along with participation in opportunities to improve the process and procedures within the PMO.
**Qualifications:**
+ Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Communications or related field.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word). MS Visio is a plus.
+ Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Willingness to work as part of a team and collaborate with others.
+ Solid written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Salary range:
$46,200.00 - $73,900.00
