Project Engineer - Undergraduate

We are seeking a current university student to be an Undergraduate Project Engineer. You will assist the project engineers with successful project completion from inception to close out, including project design, planning and delivery, including some onsite supervision and management, as required. As part of this role the undergraduate project engineer will be responsible for elements of the projects assigned to them and must ensure these meets specifications, budgets and timeframes.

This is a full-time or part-time position dependent on study schedule, and includes a competitive remuneration package.

Main Responsibilities

Organise and plan assigned projects within guidelines of ISO9001 compliant Quality Manual.Prepare and implement various project plans and associated documentation such as plans and SWMS.Ensure project deadlines and budgets are met, including communicating with suppliers and consultants.Assist with obtaining relevant state and local permits to achieve projects timelines.Assist with procurement needs of projects, including arranging material dispatches to clients, includes booking transport, and generating load schedules.Effectively communicate project updates and progress reports, including project close-out reports at project completion.Work with team to prioritise workload and manage resources.Attend project sites nationally during plan and construct phase to supervise, document and drive progress of onsite activities. Project assignments will include periods working away from home based on project requirements.   Opportunity to attend conferences/seminars/training and introduce new technology to team.

A positive attitude to develop your skills and work across the entire business from the fabrication floor and drafting, through to project managementAbility to communicate and work constructively in a dynamic, fast paced environmentExcellent attention to detail with the ability to work independentlyAbility to prioritise work in relation to conflicting deadlines and changing projectsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteSkills in CAD/3D modelling

Qualifications

Currently studying a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or a related field.
