Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Municipal Infrastructure Project Engineer to join a leading civil engineering client in Peterborough Ontario. This is a hybrid role and will require 3x/week onsite Peterborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for municipal infrastructure projects including asset management studies, renewal of roads/streets, utilities, sewers, and mains, stormwater management and drainage, intersection design, traffic management, water and wastewater capacity studies, and water distribution network design, as examples. Key Responsibilities:  Sealing Engineering documents.  Oversee preliminary and detail design.  Complete preliminary and detailed design calculations in order to support engineering recommendations.  Identify and solve complex engineering design issues in order to satisfy clients needs while adhering to applicable policies, practices, and procedures.  Prepare project estimates, budget, schedules, and execution plans.  Undertake technical and feasibility studies including site investigations.  Prepare technical documentation including letters, reports, drawings, specifications, and construction contract documents. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in civil engineering. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience related to the Key Responsibilities noted above. Solid understanding of engineering, theory, concepts, and regulations related to the field of work. Solid understanding of the principles and practices of budget development and financial management within the consulting industry. Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act as it relates to supervision of staff and field work. Excellent communication skills, including mediation and negotiation skills. Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects or issues simultaneously. Exceptional time management skills to meet critical timelines. Solid knowledge of principles and practices of proposal submissions, project delivery, and contract administration.
