Project Engineer- Mechanical

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position would be responsible to lead engineering activities supporting manufacturing, testing and vendor management needs of Surface Pumping Units within Weatherford.
Required Skills:
B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university.Minimum 6 to 9 years of proven experience working in complex engineering projects, project management, mechanical engineering design, instrumentation engineering.Experience working with customers like Exxon, Shell, NOC, KOC, ADNOC, Total, National Oil Companies etc.Proficient in Industry standards such as ASME B31.3, API, ASME BPVC, IOGP, NACE etc. Proficiently use MS Office Suite to develop presentations, correspondence, reports, and schedules (Projects – Gantt Chart, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to promptly give and follow directions when working with others.Preferred Skills:
3+ years of hands-on experience in handling projects from conceptual stage to project closure including but not limited to RFQ, design, manufacturing, testing, inspection, etc.Experience working with equipment’s/instruments/systems used in the Oil and Gas industry. Working knowledge of PTC Creo, DraftSight, AutoCAD, Windchill. Experience of working with cross functional teams spread across geographies.Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: <10%
Understanding customer specifications, requirements and preparing project scope clearly highlighting deliverables.Liaise with engineering, product line, manufacturing, and supply chain in reviewing manufacturing documents, procedures, material test certificates and other documents per customer specifications and requirements. Perform tasks such as reviewing engineering drawings, documentation, prototype and production testing, vendor management, and quality management.Interact with clients and vendors independently as needed to provide product technical support.Identify any opportunities for improvement (OFI) regarding design, planning and manufacturing processes.Preparation of engineering design files, test reports and investigation reports.Work independently as well as part of a project team, managing multiple tasks and working on multiple projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines. Review Nonconformance Reports, field incidents and assist in providing disposition. Understand Weatherford Policies and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Safety rules, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.Provide continued support for projects after completion and field commissioning in the form of troubleshooting either remotely, or in person onsite when required.
