Description:Join Our Team as a Project Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.
Location: Although this position does support some teleworking; the selected candidate will need to be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Cape Canaveral FL, and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate. We do not provide relocation assistance for this position.

What does this role look like?
The new Project Engineer will support LE2 Program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Support the LE2 program a project engineer for EGSE.
• Work with partnering organizations to forecast and integrate a long range schedule
• Identify risks and opportunities to the program Risk & Opportunity Control Board and implement approved mitigation plans
• Support customer meetings on the cost model and long range forecasting activities
• Coordinate and establish work lanes for incoming/outgoing program needs for LE2 EGSE Support equipment.
• Coordinate with the LE2 PLM on staffing needs and resources
To be effective in this role, you will need:
• You need to have prior lead experience as a CAM.
• 9+ years professional experience; 7+ years with Masters degree.
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience leading projects, teams, and development efforts
• Experience as a CAM
• Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance to support this government contract
Desired Skills:
• Project management certification or equivalent
• Support equipment, missile, or production operations experience.
• Previous Basis of Estimate (BOE) experience
• Agile methodology experience
• Experience with Jira or other issue tracking tools
• Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills
• Experience with risk and opportunity identification and mitigation.
• Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
