The Early Career Training is a program and it is an investment in young talents where GE trains fresh graduates who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a GE business. The traineeship will develop the general skills of the trainee and provide on the job knowledge and technical experience.
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Project Engineer (PE) to join our engineering team supporting High Voltage GIS Substation and Synchronous Condenser projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role is designed for engineers with 0-2 years of relevant experience who seek to develop their leadership and coordination capabilities in a dynamic project environment. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of senior PEMs and discipline leads, contributing to design coordination, client interface, and engineering quality assurance. This is an excellent opportunity to grow into a full PEM role within large-scale EPC projects.
The candidate must also be eligible for unrestricted access to SEC offices, substations, and project sites.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of engineering deliverables (layouts, schematics, GTPs, BOQs) in line with project requirements.Assist in the coordination of cross-disciplinary engineering tasks (primary, secondary, civil, control, and protection).Participate in technical meetings and design reviews with internal teams and vendors.Track document transmittals and ensure timely responses to comments from clients and stakeholders.Collaborate with project planners and engineering leads to monitor design schedules.Assist in the preparation and updating of the engineering execution plan.Coordinate with site teams and construction engineers to align design intent with field execution.Support senior PEMs in preparing and submitting documents to clients such as SEC or Aramco.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably in the Power Systems Option.0-2 years of experience in substation, rotating machines, or HV system projects (GIS, power plants, FACTS).Basic understanding of electrical and civil engineering coordination.Familiarity with engineering standards such as IEC, IEEE, and SEC/SAES specifications.Registered in Saudi council of engineering (SCE)Strong English communication and documentation skills.Desired CharacteristicsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsAble to live and work in RiyadhAvailability for on-site presence and regional travel within Saudi ArabiaWillingness to work in different locations for short or medium period and to travel worldwideIn line with Saudization requirements preference will be given to qualified Saudi nationals.
