This Position reports to:

Senior Engineering Manager
 Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Evaluate, selects and applies standard techniques and procedures to perform Engineering assignments in projects.Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of service engineering projects/programs.Identify customers requirements, analyze and document as-is process and process interfaces, design to-be integration in collaboration with business resources.Creates work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.Completes risk and opportunity assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility.Provides technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.Understanding of the complete project life cycle including project deliverables is must. Work experience in projects with customers from multiple geographical areas /multi-cultural is an added advantageQualifications for the roleFull-time engineering degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Communications4-8 years of hands-on experience in Process/Safety Systems with a focus on Application Engineering, HMI, 3rd party Communication, FAT, and SAT for Process Automation in domains such as Oil & Gas, Refineries, PetrochemicalsStrong knowledge of Process/ICSS and Safety Systems (Fire & Gas Protection Systems, Emergency Shutdown Systems)Familiarity with IEC 61508, IEC 61511, and NORSOK standardsExperience with Brownfield scope of work for DCS including modifications, retrofits, upgrades, service, and commissioningKnowledge of third-party communication protocols like MODBUS, OPC, etc.
