Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineer to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Technical Coordination and Support:
Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of infrastructure works including airside (runways, taxiways), landside (roads, utilities), and terminal-related facilities.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements and regulatory codes.
Assist in resolving design and technical conflicts through proactive coordination with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Provide technical input during constructability reviews, value engineering sessions, and change management evaluations.
Construction Oversight and Field Engineering:
Monitor ongoing site activities to ensure adherence to approved designs, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with field engineers, discipline leads, and inspectors to verify compliance and support issue resolution.
Assist in the preparation and review of method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and material submittals.
Schedule and Progress Monitoring:
Track progress of construction activities against approved project schedules.
Identify delays or risks early and coordinate with the construction manager and planning team to develop recovery plans.
Prepare and maintain engineering logs, status trackers, and construction reports.
Stakeholder Interface and Communication:
Facilitate regular coordination between contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
Participate in site coordination meetings, technical workshops, and progress reviews.
Ensure timely dissemination of updated technical information to relevant project teams.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain well-organized records of correspondence, RFIs, design changes, technical clarifications, and site instructions.
Support the development of handover documents, as-built records, and O&M manuals.
Contribute to weekly and monthly project reports with detailed technical inputs and progress metrics.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure construction and engineering, ideally on airport or transportation programs.
Proven experience coordinating between design and construction teams on complex projects.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of construction processes, project delivery methods, and engineering principles.
Familiarity with airport construction elements such as pavements, utility networks, and civil/structural interfaces.
Proficiency in using engineering and project management tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Primavera P6, MS Project).
Understanding of QA/QC practices, technical submittals, and construction documentation.
Effective problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
PMP, CCM, or equivalent project management certification is an asset.
Experience working with government or aviation authorities (e.g., FAA, ICAO, GACA).
Exposure to design-build or EPC project delivery models.
Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital construction tools.
Multilingual capability (English required; Arabic is a plus).
